As part of the European Consumer Centers Network (ECC-net), ECC Greece’s aim is to provide information on National and EU legislation on consumer rights and supports European consumers with cross boarder complaints and disputes.
ECC Greece informs and assists Greek consumers who feel their rights have been violated by EU companies, as well as European consumers who faced a problematic situation with companies or services in Greece.
Following the introduction of Euro in the common market, ECC-net’s scope is to ensure consumer confidence when shopping abroad and guarantee the same level of protection on consumer issues as in their home country.
The European Consumer Center of Greece operates since January 1st 2005. It is located in the “MINISTRY OF DEVELOP” building on Kaniggos Square in the center of Athens (5 min. walk from Omonoia Square Metro Station), offices 431-432.
ECC Greece operates under the supervision of the European Union and the Greek Ministry of Development.
